What is a culvert?

It’s a long, dark, underground waterway.

Walking in water ankle deep, discover the challenge of working together to negotiate one of many man made water culverts in Lancashire, Cumbria and Greater Manchester. Long and dark, short and challenging, it's a team activity with a difference.

In most cases the culverts are dark which means your team have to work closely together to achieve their goal and make it to the end together.

Other options do include torches, candles and snap lights.

Our culvert scrambling is a great addition to an activity day including abseiling or climbing.
