Adventure Race Training Days


A team building event with a difference, choose an event your team would like to take part in and then let our team of experts assist you in creating that winning formula. Its a new and exciting way of building a successful proactive healthy working team.

To have fun and be successful at Adventure Racing, it is essential to have a full and confident grasp of a wide range of skills and techniques.

It is also useful to be able to maximise your time when training for these events!

The straightforward Score Orienteering type of race, covered on foot or by Mountain Bike, is often run over challenging terrain.  This, combined with adverse weather conditions, makes good preparation a must.

The bigger events including those run over 24 hours or more often include a range of sports.  Some level of competence can be required in canoeing, kayaking, inline skating, rock climbing, abseiling and even skiing.

We provide training days for all levels of competitor from the confident Adventure Racer, to the novice wondering how to start.

Areas covered on the days are generic skills such as rock climbing, navigation, cycling, running, training and preparation and event knowledge. The level is pitched at the individuals on each course and training advice and in-depth programmes can be discussed with our coach Beren Airstone (ex-British Cycling elite athlete coach).
