Gorge scrambling, ghyll scrambling, gully scrambling, stream walking, it has a few names!
Keep it as wet or as dry as you like as you follow one of many streams or beck’s. The only way to describe this activity is to say that it's like caving with the roof off!
Tricky traverses, rocky obstacles and plunge pools are all a part of the fun. You won't believe how much fun it is until you've tried it!
Gorge scrambling is a must for managers team event, it works as a real 'wake up call' during a full-on planning session or company conference.
If its the wet option you choose, your team will need to work well together to be able to ascend the many waterfalls and plunge pools to reach the top of the gorge.
If it the dry option your team will need good balance and support skills to enable them to reach the top without falling in.
Other challenges within the gorge scrambling include the "LOG CARRY" your team have negotiate the rocky terrain carrying a 10 ft log, each member of the team has to be involved in this task and the log must not touch the water or land at any time during the accent.
